About

Hey there — welcome to our little corner of the internet where we talk all things solar, batteries, and saving a buck on energy bills here in Australia.

This site started out of frustration, to be honest. I was just a regular homeowner trying to figure out whether solar was actually worth it. The quotes were confusing, feed-in tariffs made zero sense, and don’t get me started on the battery hype…

So I started writing down what I learned — in plain English — with real stories, rough numbers, and no sugar-coating.

Turns out, a lot of Aussies were asking the same questions.

What You’ll Find Here

  • Honest reviews of solar products, installers, and battery options
  • Real-life experiences from Aussie homes (yep, including my own)
  • State-by-state comparisons for rebates, tariffs, and loan options
  • And the odd rant about electricity bills, government incentives, or dodgy sales calls

This isn’t some big corporate energy blog. I don’t have a massive team or a fancy office. Just a laptop, a rooftop full of panels, and too much time spent reading solar contracts.

Who This Blog Is For

  • Homeowners thinking about installing solar
  • People wondering if solar batteries are worth it in 2025
  • Aussies chasing energy independence — or just smaller bills
  • Anyone who wants clear, real answers (without all the jargon)

Are You Sponsored?

Nope. If I recommend a product or installer, it’s because I think they’re decent — not because they paid me to say so.

If I ever do partnerships or affiliate links, I’ll always be upfront about it. Trust matters more than a quick commission.

Got a Question? Let’s Chat

Whether you’re confused about inverter brands, battery sizes, or whether it’s better to go hybrid or off-grid — feel free to reach out. I’m not a licensed installer, but I’ll share what I know from personal experience (and hours of digging).

Use the contact page or drop a comment on any blog post — I reply to pretty much everything.

Thanks for stopping by — and here’s to making the sun work for you.
